Whilst it will be nice to get the numbers on the board in the big dance next weekend, try not to forget that it isn’t the results that really matter. If you come out of your games and the year at least 1% a better player and more importantly, 1% a better human, you’ve already won.

And you know what? To know so many kids who take the time to say hello and shake hands when they see you…… I’m pretty sure that means I win.

Congrats 12’s on a lovely little performance (we’ve got time to work on the song).

Belrose vs. Belrose in 14’s blues tag, we were always bound to win. And there’s time yet for a rematch.

14’s. 14’s. 14’s……My guys.

Not the result you wanted on the field. It hurts, but that’s momentary. The fact that the skip encouraged you all to clap on and get behind the next team, despite your hurt…. speaks volumes to the humans you are.

Ultimately that’s the stuff that will live in peoples minds..… rather than a scoreline.

Yeah the Boys!

One moment they are 5 yr olds running around with snotty noses and untied shoe laces then in the blink of an eye they’re fully grown men playing some of the best footy you’ll ever see.

Tonight the Belrose 15’s were victorious in the first of our finals footy for the weekend. The game had it all, MASSIVE hits, beautiful little inside plays and some fancy footwork that would put Messi to shame (you heard that right).

There’s still more work to do, but for the moment, savour every one of those sore muscles, you deserved them.

PS - Someone please tell that woman screeching on the far side of the field in enemy territory, to settle down…. There’s a few more weeks left.

But, unfortunately due to circumstances well and truly out of our control, Sunday’s Home game has been moved (details in photos). Yes, it’s frustrating to lose two of our biggest days of the year BUT let’s make a date to reconvene on 1 September.

It’s easy to talk the Red and Gold talk but how about we all walk the Red and Gold walk and use the opportunity to get around the Belrose Young Guns competing in finals this weekend?
