Unfortunately sometimes you need something bad to happen to realise the good in the world.

So many stood tall this week that there are too many to name… the leaders of the big boys who used their voices to influence change, the local businesses who did way more than they needed to, the 10, 14 & 15 lads who raised money for one of their own, the parents who picked up deliveries of donuts because we’d sold out, went around the grounds with the kids & stayed waaaay past their volunteer duties because ‘imagine if it was your child’, the people who came down to donate and the friends of the club who came down to help because ‘it’s what we do’, thank you doesn’t seem quite enough.

Troy, if you couldn’t feel the love this week…. Get the hospital to check your pulse again.

ANZAC DAY TAKE II

We are fortunate enough to be able to finally show our respects to our ANZAC’s with our good friends @leichhardtwanderersjrlfc this Sunday at Lionel Watts @ 3pm. This will be followed by the legendary player jersey auction with all proceeds being donated to @soldieronaust.

Additionally, all weekend we’ll be selling ‘Donuts for Donut’ to help Donut on his journey to getting his ‘a-dough-rable’ little smile back (I regret nothing).

Let’s be the difference.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our lovely Eagle mums, nannas, aunties, stepmums, and ladies who have helped raise us! 🦅

Thank you for all the tied boot laces (double knotted of course!), the napisan to remove grass stains, the hugs after knocks, the cheering from the sideline and for collecting forgotten water bottle/jumper/mouthgaurd at training. Footy wouldn’t be as good without you!
