Belrose Eagles Rugby League is pleased to announce that we will again be running our touch footy competition at Lionel Watts oval in 2018

It will be in a very reduced format due to the considerable field works taking place. However, we are confident that we can provide a competition that the kids will love.

Number of teams from previous years will be reduced and in order to include as many kids as possible, age groups will change for this year.

Game times will be set at the same time each week and each division will have a bye in the competition.

  • U/9 GIRLS – 7 teams played at 4:30pm
  • U/9 BOYS – 7 teams played at 4:30pm
  • U/11 GIRLS – 14 teams – played at 5:00pm
  • U/11 BOYS – 14 teams – played at 5:30pm
  • U/13 GIRLS – 14 teams – played at 6:00pm
  • U/13 BOYS – 14 teams – played at 6:30pm

Please note that we will be accommodating a maximum of 2 teams of Belrose Rugby League 2018 players in each of the boys age groups.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Registration night and drawing of the Ballot (see Ballot information below) – Tuesday 18th September
  • First games will be Thursday 18th October and last game 13th December.
  • Registration fees to be completely paid by Thursday 20th October
  • Draw will not be posted until the week commencing 15th October (remembering that each age group will be played at the same time each week)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

**Teams will be included in the competition through a ballot system with the following strict conditions:

  • a minimum of 10 players is to be registered with each team
  • completed Registration forms are to be entered into the relevant age group box at our clubhouse on Tuesday 18th September between 6pm and 8pm.
  • all individual player details are to be completed on the team registration form including parent signature and email address and date of birth for each player
  • successful teams must make full payment by the Thursday 20th September

** The ballot drawing of the teams will take place after 8pm by members of our Board of Directors.The successful teams will be notified by email or phone at the conclusion of the ballot and that team will then have until Thursday 20th September to make full payment for the entire team either via EFTPOS, or in person with cash or credit card at the clubhouse between 6pm and 8pm on that evening. If these conditions are not met, the Board will draw another team from the ballot box.

** Individual shirt sizes will not be available. All teams in U/9’s will receive a size 10 shirt, U/11’s will receive a size 12 shirt etc.

** At this stage there will not be a BBQ operating however, snack items will be available from the canteen.

**Cost will be $60 per player

**No individual player registrations will be accepted this year.

We intend to run a Seniors Touch comp as well. Final Details of this comp will be available however we intend to have 24 teams play over two evening timeslots.

We understand that there will be some disappointed parents and kids this year, however, it is beyond our control and we would like the community support to understand the difficult situation we have been put in.

We feel the ballot system is the fairest and Yes teams will miss out BUT we are extremely hopeful that our normal strong competition with all age groups and team numbers will be available again in 2019.
